Whoever said "necessity is the Mother of Invention", was so right!

When a friend of mine was taken to a local hospital, having collapsed during a morning jog, he instantly became John Doe....he carried no usable identification. His name was unknown, his family to call were unknown, and his medical history was unknown, making emergency treatment conservative, at best!

After a hectic meeting, a businessman from out of state, was taking a leisurely stroll in Chicago, having left his briefcase and wallet in his hotel room. He was accidentally hit by a taxi and subsequently died in the hospital. Again, he had no identification and became John Doe.

These situations, and many others, are occurring around us on a daily basis. Our initial research indicated the number of John and Jane Does' in the morgue, is on the rise.

While accidents and emergencies are part of living, MiroFit, Inc. decided to find a way we could all be better prepared. My associate, Roger Green and I, launched PeoplePatch.
